Challenge Peguera Mallorca 2022 classification update after anti-doping analysis.
The 8th edition of Challenge Peguera Mallorca was held on 15 October 2022. This race stands out for its compliance with all the quality standards that define the Challenge Family brand.
One of the measures implemented in the race since its first edition is the existence of anti-doping control at the finish line, in order to detect possible cases of doping. We carry out this task in collaboration with the Spanish Triathlon Federation and the World Triathlon.
Unfortunately, today 3 April 2023, we have received confirmation that one of the participants in the event, who reached the podium in 2nd position, tested positive and has been suspended, namely Andrea Pizzeghella.
Therefore, with retroactive effect, we publish the final results of the race in the MALE category, leaving the configuration of the final podium of the 2022 edition as follows:
